Traditionally, options have been limited for protecting data in use while it is actively processed in memory, which can leave data unencrypted and vulnerable to insider attacks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/security\/confidential-computing.html\">Confidential computing<\/a> enabled by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/products\/docs\/accelerator-engines\/software-guard-extensions.html\"> Intel Software Guard Extensions<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/products\/docs\/accelerator-engines\/software-guard-extensions.html\">Intel SGX<\/a>) will support Cohesity customers to reduce the risk posed by potential bad actors accessing data while it is being processed in main memory. This is especially critical for highly regulated industries like financial institutions, healthcare, and government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cohesity\u2019s flagship platform, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cohesity.com\/products\/data-cloud\/\">Cohesity Data Cloud<\/a>, has long included many proven and cutting-edge technologies to help the world\u2019s largest organisations manage and secure their most critical data from cyber criminals.
