{"id":97934,"date":"2022-06-30T15:57:27","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T14:57:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cloudcomputing-news.net\/?p=97934"},"modified":"2022-06-30T15:57:46","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T14:57:46","slug":"alibaba-data-as-a-service-firm-lingyang","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cloudcomputing-news.net\/news\/alibaba-data-as-a-service-firm-lingyang\/","title":{"rendered":"Alibaba launches \u2018Data-as-a-Service\u2019 firm Lingyang"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.alibaba.com\/\">Alibaba<\/a> has spun out a \u201cData-as-a-Service\u201d (DaaS) business called Lingyang Intelligent Service Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lingyang will offer solutions to enterprises that were initially developed for Alibaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe launch of the new firm is an important step taken by Alibaba after long-term consideration,\u201d said Daniel Zhang, Chairman and CEO of Alibaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team behind Lingyang has vast experience supporting Alibaba\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alibabacloud.com\/blog\/second-level-response-time-achieved-in-fliggy%E2%80%99s-double-11-real-time-data-big-screen-by-hologres_597913\">Double 11 Data Big Screen<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BzQNK8rwBRY\">88VIP<\/a> initiatives. Team members have also supported digital intelligence projects for enterprises including XPeng Motors, LVMH, Hangzhou Robam Appliances, Haidilao, and Doosan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lingyang will have five major product lines: Analysis Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Customer Service Cloud, Development Cloud, and Production and Sales Cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11 core products are initially being launched across these lines, including Dataphin, Quick BI, Bizphin, Quick Audience, and Operation Advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Cheng Li, CTO of Alibaba, Lingyang will help enterprises drive efficient decision-making and promote growth through data intelligence in multi-platform operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With over one billion global users, Alibaba has plenty of data to leverage for Lingyang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lingyang will have to tap all of the expertise and data available to it as it goes head-to-head against other business intelligence giants including Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peng Xinyu, VP of Alibaba, will head Lingyang\u2019s operations as CEO. Xinyu is clear that he wants Lingyang to be \u201cnot SaaS, but DaaS\u201d.
